Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas

Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana

ततश्वाष्टगुणं पार्थ प्राप्स्यसे धर्ममुत्तमम्‌ । भीष्म: कुरूणां प्रवरो यथापूर्वमवाप्तवान्‌,कुन्तीनन्दन! कुरुप्रवर भीष्मने पहले जिस प्रकार तीर्थयात्राजनित पुण्य प्राप्त किया था, उससे भी आठगुने उत्तम धर्मकी उपलब्धि तुम्हें होगी

tataś cāṣṭaguṇaṃ pārtha prāpsyase dharmam uttamam | bhīṣmaḥ kurūṇāṃ pravaro yathāpūrvam avāptavān, kuntīnandana ||

Kemudian, wahai Pārtha, engkau akan mencapai pahala dharma yang amat unggul—lapan kali ganda. Sebagaimana Bhīṣma, yang terunggul dalam kalangan Kuru, dahulu memperoleh pahala agama yang lahir daripada ziarah suci, demikian juga, wahai putera Kuntī, engkau akan meraih bahagian yang lebih besar daripada buah kebenaran itu.”
