evaṁ vicārya bahuśo vārṣṇeyaḥ paryacintayat | hṛdayena mahārāja puṇyaślokasya sārathiḥ |
Wahai raja agung, setelah menimbang berkali-kali demikian, Vārṣṇeya—kusir kepada Raja Nala yang termasyhur lagi berbudi—merenung sedalam-dalamnya dalam hati, lalu di dalam batin mencapai suatu ketetapan yang mantap.
ऋचुपर्ण उवाच

R̥tupārṇa reports that Vārṣṇeya, Nala’s charioteer, repeatedly thinks over the matter and, within his heart, comes to a firm internal conclusion, while addressing Yudhiṣṭhira as ‘O great king’.
