Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Sañjaya on Arjuna’s Indraloka report and the political consequences
एवमुक्तस्तु शक्रेण फाल्गुन: परवीरहा । मुर्दं परमिकां लेभे न च शापं व्यचिन्तयत्,इन्द्रके ऐसा कहनेपर शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले अर्जुनको बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई। फिर तो उन्हें शापकी चिन्ता छूट गयी
evam uktas tu śakreṇa phālgunaḥ paravīrahā | mūrdhaṃ paramikāṃ lebhe na ca śāpaṃ vyacintayat ||
Setelah Śakra (Indra) berkata demikian, Phālguna—pembunuh juara-juara musuh—dipenuhi sukacita dan kehormatan yang tertinggi. Dalam keadaan jiwa yang terangkat itu, dia tidak lagi memikirkan sumpahan sedikit pun.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When a righteous aim is affirmed by wise or divine counsel, one should not be paralyzed by fear of adverse consequences; clarity of purpose and inner steadiness replace anxiety.
After Indra speaks to him, Arjuna feels exalted and reassured; his earlier concern about a possible curse fades, and he becomes mentally prepared to proceed with the task ahead.
