The Origin of the Five-Colored Fiery Being and Ritual-Disruptor Lineages

Educational Q&A

Liberation is attained through appropriate means and deliberate practice, not through passive dependence on ‘non-means’ like mere fatalism or the inertia of past karma. Recognizing the world’s impermanence supports genuine detachment and purposeful striving.

The vyādha continues his instruction on dharma and spiritual life, emphasizing that one should renounce attachment after discerning the world’s transience and then actively pursue mokṣa through proper disciplines, rather than excusing inaction by appealing to destiny or prior deeds.
