इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि ब्राह्मणव्याधसंवादे नवाधिकद्वधिशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपवके अन्तर्गत मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वमें ब्राह्मण-व्याध- संवादविषयक दो सौ नौवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparvaṇi brāhmaṇa-vyādha-saṃvāde navādhika-dviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
Demikianlah, dalam Śrī Mahābhārata, di dalam Vana Parva, pada bahagian yang dikenali sebagai Mārkaṇḍeya-samāsya Parva, dialog antara Brāhmaṇa dan Vyādha (pemburu) berakhir; inilah penutup bab ke-209. Kolofon ini menandai tamatnya suatu episod pengajaran, di mana dharma diteliti melalui perbualan dan amalan hidup, bukan semata-mata melalui status atau pembelajaran.
ब्राह्मण उवाच
As a colophon, the verse itself teaches by framing the preceding episode: dharma is to be understood through reflective dialogue and demonstrated conduct, not merely by social label (brāhmaṇa) or occupation (vyādha).
The text formally closes the Brāhmaṇa–Vyādha dialogue within the Vana Parva’s Mārkaṇḍeya-related section, stating that the 209th chapter has ended.
