Dharma-vyādha’s Analysis of Moral Decline and the Mahābhūta–Guṇa Schema (धर्मव्याधोपदेशः)

ब्राह्मणांस्तोषयेद्‌ यस्तु तुष्यन्ते तस्य देवता: । वचनाच्चापि विप्राणां स्वर्गलोकमवाप्लनुयात्‌

brāhmaṇāṁs toṣayed yas tu tuṣyante tasya devatāḥ | vacanāc cāpi viprāṇāṁ svargalokam avāpnu yāt ||

Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Sesiapa yang menyenangkan para brāhmaṇa, maka para dewa pun berkenan kepadanya. Dan dengan kata-kata para brāhmaṇa—yakni berkat mereka—seseorang dapat mencapai alam syurga.”
