स चेम॑ संकुलं लोकं प्रसादमुपनेष्यति । उत्थितो ब्राह्मणो दीप्त: क्षयान्तकृदुदारधी:,वह उदारबुद्धि, तेजस्वी ब्राह्मण, दुःखसे व्याप्त हुए इस जगत्‌को आनन्द प्रदान करेगा। कलियुगका अन्त करनेके लिये ही उसका प्रादुर्भाव होगा

Transliteration

sa cemaṁ saṅkulaṁ lokaṁ prasādam upaneṣyati | utthito brāhmaṇo dīptaḥ kṣayāntakṛd udāradhīḥ ||

Translation

Dan Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Dia akan membawa penghiburan dan kejernihan kepada dunia yang kini terjerumus dalam kekacauan. Bangkit sebagai seorang Brahmana yang bersinar—berakal luas dan berniat luhur—dia akan menjadi agen yang menamatkan kemerosotan zaman, muncul tepat untuk mengakhiri perjalanan menindas Kali-yuga dan memulihkan kesejahteraan.”
