नृत्यमानमिवोर्मीभिर्गर्जमानमिवाम्भसा । क्षोभ्यमाणा महावातै: सा नौस्तस्मिन् महोदधौ
nṛtyamānam ivormibhir garjamānam ivāmbhasā | kṣobhyamāṇā mahāvātaiḥ sā naus tasmin mahodadhau ||
Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Di samudera yang luas itu, perahu—dipukul oleh angin kencang—seakan menari di tengah ombak dan seakan mengaum bersama deru air.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse underscores human fragility before overwhelming natural forces, implying the ethical need for steadiness and endurance when circumstances become turbulent and uncontrollable.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a boat in a vast ocean, shaken by strong winds and waves; its motion looks like dancing, while the waters seem to roar—an intense depiction of danger and agitation.
