बभज्जतुर्महावक्षानूरुभिबलिनां वरौ । अन्योन्येनाभिसंरब्धौ परस्परवधैषिणौ,बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ वे दोनों वीर अपनी जाँघोंके धक््केसे बड़े-बड़े वृक्षोंको तोड़ डालते थे और परस्पर कुपित हो एक-दूसरेको मार डालनेकी इच्छा रखते थे
babhajjatūr mahāvakṣān ūrubhir balināṁ varau | anyonyenābhisaṁrabdhau parasparavadhaiṣiṇau ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Kedua-dua wira itu—yang terunggul antara yang gagah—memecahkan pohon-pohon besar dengan daya paha mereka. Murka antara satu sama lain, masing-masing menginginkan kematian lawannya—amarah mengatasi kendali diri, menjadikan kekuatan sebagai senjata pemusnahan sesama.
