Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
वैनतेयो यथा पक्षी गरुत्मान् पततां वर: । तथैवाभिपतिष्यामि भयं वो नेह विद्यते,उस समय वहाँ वायुके समान वेग और पराक्रमवाले महाबाहु भीमसेनने आर्या कुन्ती तथा भाइयोंको आश्वासन देते हुए कहा--'पक्षियोंमें श्रेष्ठ विनतानन्दन गरुड जैसे उड़ा करते हैं, उसी प्रकार मैं भी तुम सबको लेकर यहाँसे चल दूँगा। अतः तुम्हें यहाँ तनिक भी भय नहीं है”
vainateyo yathā pakṣī garutmān patatāṃ varaḥ | tathaivābhipatiṣyāmi bhayaṃ vo neha vidyate ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Seperti Vainateya—Garutmān, yang terunggul antara segala makhluk bersayap—melayang tinggi, demikianlah aku akan menerpa pergi dengan cara yang sama. Di sini, tiada sedikit pun ketakutan bagi kamu.” (Dalam konteks, Bhīma menenteramkan Kuntī dan saudara-saudaranya, berjanji bertindak pantas untuk melindungi dan menghapuskan kegelisahan mereka.)
