Educational Q&A

Anger and pride can make even the greatest powers overreach, but dharma is upheld when one restrains oneself and does not violate a rightful command; a disciplined word (vacas) can preserve order.

The speaker recalls a well-known incident: the Vindhya mountain, angered at the Sun, began to rise; however, obeying the addressed person’s injunction, Vindhya remains checked and does not keep growing.
