कृष्णेन विदुरं प्रति आगमन-हेतु-निवेदनम् / Krishna explains the purpose of his coming to Vidura
न पाण्डवानामस्माभि: प्रतिदेयं यथोचितम् । इति व्यवसितास्तेषु वचन स्यान्निरर्थकम्
na pāṇḍavānām asmābhiḥ pratideyaṃ yathocitam | iti vyavasitās teṣu vacanaṃ syān nirarthakam ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana berkata: “Putera-putera Dhṛtarāṣṭra telah bertekad teguh, ‘Kami tidak akan memberikan kepada Pāṇḍava apa yang sepatutnya menjadi hak mereka.’ Oleh sebab mereka berpegang pada keputusan itu, apa jua kata-kata yang ditujukan kepada mereka—walaupun untuk berdamai dan membangkitkan rasa persaudaraan—akan menjadi sia-sia.”
