Kṛṣṇa at Duryodhana’s House: Refusal of Hospitality and Departure to Vidura (कृष्णस्य धार्तराष्ट्रनिवेशनगमनम्)

अज्ञातचर्या बालानामवरोधश्व माधव । न मे क्लेशतमं तत्‌ स्यात्‌ पुत्र: सह परंतप,'परंतप माधव! मेरे बालकोंको अज्ञातभावसे रहना पड़ा है और अब राज्य न मिलनेसे उनकी जीविकाका भी अवरोध हो गया है। पुत्रोंके साथ मुझे इतना महान्‌ क्लेश नहीं प्राप्त होना चाहिये

ajñātacaryā bālānām avarodhaś ca mādhava | na me kleśatamaṃ tat syāt putraḥ saha parantapa ||

“Wahai Mādhava, wahai Parantapa! Anak-anakku yang masih muda dipaksa hidup dalam penyamaran; dan kini, apabila kerajaan dinafikan, bahkan sumber rezeki mereka pun terputus. Wahai Parantapa, penderitaan seteruk ini tidak sepatutnya menimpa aku bersama anak-anakku.”
