Dhṛtarāṣṭra Addressed on Sincerity, Hospitality, and Settlement
Sound governance and righteous action depend on seeking the best counsel: as the gods look to Bṛhaspati for guidance, the Vṛṣṇis and Andhakas look to Kṛṣṇa’s discerning wisdom, implying that true authority is grounded in intelligence, clarity, and dharmic judgment.
In the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war diplomacy, Dhṛtarāṣṭra reflects on Kṛṣṇa’s stature among his people, noting that Kṛṣṇa’s judgment is trusted like a divine preceptor’s counsel—highlighting Kṛṣṇa’s influence and strategic-moral authority in the unfolding conflict.
