Udyoga Parva, Chapter 81: Krishna Sets Out as Envoy
सर्वलक्षणसम्पन्न॑ं महाभुजगवर्चसम् | केशपक्षं वरारोहा गृह वामेन पाणिना
sarvalakṣaṇasampannaṁ mahābhujagavarcasam | keśapakṣaṁ varārohā gṛhya vāmena pāṇinā ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Raja Janamejaya, wanita mulia itu, lengkap dengan segala tanda bertuah, menggenggam dengan tangan kirinya gumpalan rambutnya—bercahaya seperti ular besar—lalu, dengan air mata, ia mendekat untuk berbicara.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Public wrongs and private grief become ethical claims when presented before rightful protectors; the verse frames suffering with dignity, implying that those who uphold dharma must respond to injustice rather than ignore it.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), holding her hair in her left hand as a sign of distress and resolve, approaches Śrī Kṛṣṇa with tears, about to speak—setting up an appeal connected to the larger demand for justice before the coming war.
