Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 71 — Kṣatra-dharma Counsel, Public Legitimacy, and Mobilization

तदिदं मयि ते दृष्ट॑ प्रत्यक्ष मधुसूदन । यथा राज्यात्‌ परिभ्रष्टो वसामि वसतीरिमा:,मधुसूदन! यह सब आपने मुझमें प्रत्यक्ष देखा है कि मैं किस प्रकार राज्यसे भ्रष्ट हुआ और कितने कष्टके साथ इन दिनों रह रहा हूँ

tad idaṁ mayi te dṛṣṭaṁ pratyakṣaṁ madhusūdana | yathā rājyāt paribhraṣṭo vasāmi vasatīr imāḥ ||

Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: «Wahai Madhusūdana, engkau telah melihat semuanya ini secara nyata pada diriku—bagaimana aku disingkirkan dari kerajaanku dan bagaimana kini aku tinggal di kediaman-kediaman ini sambil menanggung kesusahan. Biarlah kebenaran yang tampak tentang kejatuhan dan penderitaanku ini difahami sepenuhnya ketika engkau menilai apa yang benar untuk dilakukan.»
