Educational Q&A

The verse underscores how collective action in war is often anchored in the recognized excellence of key individuals: the Pāṇḍavas’ resolve is strengthened by Nakula’s conspicuous valor and archery, reflecting the kṣatriya-world emphasis on capability, reputation, and dependable support in righteous contest.

Sañjaya reports to the Kuru side that the Pāṇḍavas are preparing to advance against them, placing confidence in Nakula—Mādrī’s son—described as striking in presence and exceptionally skilled with the bow.
