Educational Q&A

Restrain speech about future plans and avoid boasting; let one’s completed actions serve as the evidence of intention and capability. Ethical excellence is measured by deeds, not declarations.

In Vidura’s counsel (nīti) during the Udyoga Parva, he offers practical moral guidance on conduct—here emphasizing that a wise person should not advertise intended actions but demonstrate them through accomplished results.
