Udyoga Parva, Adhyaya 2 — Baladeva’s Counsel on Peace, Restitution, and Court Protocol
एतेषु सर्वेषु समागतेषु पौरेषु वृद्धेषु च संगतेषु । ब्रवीतु वाक््यं प्रणिपातयुक्तं कुन्तीसुतस्यार्थकरं यथा स्यात्,वह दूत वहाँ जाकर कुरुवंशके श्रेष्ठ वीर भीष्म, महानुभाव धृतराष्ट्र, द्रोण, अश्वत्थामा, विदुर, कृपाचार्य, शकुनि, कर्ण तथा दूसरे सब धूृतराष्ट्रपुत्र, जो शक्तिशाली, वेदज्ञ, स्वधर्मनिष्ठ, लोकप्रसिद्ध वीर, विद्यावृद्ध और वयोवृद्ध हैं, उन सबको आमन्त्रित करे और इन सबके आ जाने एवं नागरिकों तथा बड़े बूढ़ोंके सम्मिलित होनेपर वह दूत विनयपूर्वक प्रणाम करके ऐसी बात कहे, जिससे युधिष्ठिरके प्रयोजनकी सिद्धि हो
eteṣu sarveṣu samāgateṣu paureṣu vṛddheṣu ca saṅgateṣu | bravītu vākyaṃ praṇipātayuktaṃ kuntīsutasya arthakaraṃ yathā syāt ||
“Apabila semuanya telah berkumpul—dan para warga serta orang-orang tua juga berhimpun—biarlah dia menyampaikan ucapan yang disertai sembah hormat, sehingga benar-benar memenuhi tujuan putera Kuntī (Yudhiṣṭhira).”
