Udyoga Parva, Adhyaya 2 — Baladeva’s Counsel on Peace, Restitution, and Court Protocol

अर्ध हि राज्यस्य विसृज्य वीरा: कुन्तीसुतास्तस्य कृते यतन्ते । प्रदाय चार्थ धृतराष्ट्रपुत्र: सुखी सहास्माभिरतीव मोदेत्‌,वीर कुन्तीकुमार आधा राज्य छोड़कर केवल आधेके लिये ही प्रयत्नशील हैं। दुर्योधन भी पाण्डवोंको आधा राज्य देकर हमारे साथ स्वयं भी सुखी और प्रसन्न होगा इति श्रीमहाभारते उद्योगपर्वणि सेनोद्योगपर्वणि बलदेववाक्ये द्वितीयो5ध्याय: ।। २ || इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत उद्योगपर्वके अन्तर्गत सेनोद्योगपर्वमें बलदेववाक्यविषयक दूसरा अध्याय पूरा हुआ

ardhaṃ hi rājyasya visṛjya vīrāḥ kuntīsutās tasya kṛte yatante | pradāya cārthaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭraputraḥ sukhī sahāsmābhir atīva modet ||

Putera-putera Kuntī yang gagah berani telah melepaskan separuh kerajaan dan berusaha hanya untuk separuh yang tinggal. Jika putera Dhṛtarāṣṭra memberikan bahagian itu kepada mereka, maka dia sendiri—bersama kami—akan hidup bahagia dan bersukacita besar.
