Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)
इत्युक्त्वा भगवान् देवो यक्षराज: सुपूजित: । प्रययौं सहित: सर्वर्निमेषान्तरचारिभि:,'यक्षो! शिखण्डीके मारे जानेपर यह स्थूणाकर्ण यक्ष अपना पूर्वरूप फिर प्राप्त कर लेगा। अतः अब इसे निर्भय हो जाना चाहिये।” ऐसा कहकर महामना भगवान् यक्षराज कुबेर उन यक्षोंद्वारा अत्यन्त पूजित हो निमेषमात्रमें ही अभीष्ट स्थानपर पहुँच जानेवाले अपने समस्त सेवकोंके साथ वहाँसे चले गये
ity uktvā bhagavān devo yakṣarājaḥ supūjitaḥ | prayayau sahitaḥ sarvair nimeṣāntaracāribhiḥ ||
Setelah berkata demikian, sang Dewa yang mulia—raja Yakṣa yang sangat dipuja—berangkat dari tempat itu bersama seluruh pengiringnya yang dapat bergerak dalam sekelip mata.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse underscores the authority of a righteous divine figure whose spoken assurance resolves fear and restores order; it also highlights that extraordinary power is paired with responsibility—once the matter is settled, the divine agent withdraws rather than lingering.
After giving his statement/assurance, Kubera—the king of the Yakṣas—leaves the scene, honored by the Yakṣas, and departs swiftly with his attendants described as moving in the time of a blink.
