अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः

Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge

विभ्रृंशिता त्वया हीयं धर्मादास्ते यशस्विनी । परामृष्टां त्वया हीमां को हि गन्तुमिहाहति,तुमने इस यशस्विनी राजकुमारीको धर्मसे भ्रष्ट कर दिया है। तुम्हारे द्वारा इसका स्पर्श कर लिया गया है, ऐसी दशामें इसे दूसरा कौन ग्रहण कर सकता है?

vibhraṁśitā tvayā hīyaṁ dharmād āste yaśasvinī | parāmṛṣṭāṁ tvayā hīmāṁ ko hi gantum ihārhati ||

Engkau telah menyebabkan puteri yang termasyhur ini tersasar daripada jalan dharma; kini dia berdiri dalam keadaan kehilangan tertib yang sepatutnya. Oleh sebab engkau telah menyentuhnya, dalam keadaan demikian siapakah lagi di sini yang dapat menerimanya sebagai isteri dengan wajar?
