तत: शब्द: समभवत् समुद्रस्येव पर्वणि । हृष्टानां सम्प्रयातानां घोषो दिवमिवास्पृशत्,तदनन्तर जैसे पूर्णिमाके दिन बढ़ते हुए समुद्रका कोलाहल सुनायी देता है, उसी प्रकार हर्ष और उत्साहमें भरकर युद्धके लिये यात्रा करनेवाले उन सैनिकोंका महान् घोष सब ओर फैलकर मानो स्वर्गलोकतक जा पहुँचा
tataḥ śabdaḥ samabhavat samudrasyeva parvaṇi | hṛṣṭānāṃ samprayātānāṃ ghoṣo divam ivāspṛśat ||
Kemudian bangkitlah deru yang besar—seperti laut yang mengembang pada hari perayaan. Sorak perang para askar yang berangkat dengan gembira dan bersemangat itu merebak ke segala arah, seakan-akan sampai ke kayangan. Rangkap ini menegaskan bahawa keterujaan kolektif dapat memperhebat momentum menuju perang, menjadikan semangat manusia suatu gegak-gempita yang mengatasi segalanya, hampir bersifat kosmik.
