असंशयमिदं कृष्ण महद् युद्धमुपस्थितम् । पाण्डवानां कुरूणां च घोरं रुधिरकर्दमम्,“श्रीकृष्ण! इसमें संदेह नहीं कि कौरवों और पाण्डवोंका यह बड़ा भयंकर युद्ध उपस्थित हुआ है, जो रक्तकी कीच मचा देनेवाला है
asaṁśayam idaṁ kṛṣṇa mahad yuddham upasthitam | pāṇḍavānāṁ kurūṇāṁ ca ghoraṁ rudhirakardamam ||
“Wahai Kṛṣṇa, tiada syak lagi: perang besar ini telah tiba—pertempuran ngeri antara Pāṇḍava dan Kuru, yang menjadikan medan perang lumpur darah.”
