उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय १३५: कुन्त्याः कृष्णं प्रति संदेशः
Kuntī’s Message to Kṛṣṇa
सन्ति नैकतमा भूय: सुहृदस्तव संजय । सुखदुःखसहा वीर संग्रामादनिवर्तिन:,वीर संजय! अभी तो तेरे सैकड़ों सुहृद् हैं। वे सभी सुख-दुःखको सहन करनेवाले तथा युद्धसे पीछे न हटनेवाले हैं
santi naikātamā bhūyaḥ suhṛdas tava sañjaya | sukhaduḥkhasahā vīra saṅgrāmād anivartinaḥ ||
“Wahai Sañjaya, engkau bukan sekadar mempunyai beberapa sahabat, bahkan terlalu ramai—tidak terhitung. Wahai wira, mereka teguh menanggung suka dan duka, dan tidak berpaling dari medan perang.”
पुत्र उवाच
The verse praises steadfast companionship: true allies are those who remain loyal through both joy and suffering and who do not abandon their duty in moments of danger—an ethical ideal of constancy and courage.
The speaker addresses Sañjaya directly, reassuring him that he is supported by many loyal well-wishers—men hardened by adversity and resolute in warfare—thereby emphasizing the strength of his backing and morale.
