अभिमन्युविलापः (Abhimanyu-vilāpa) — Uttarā’s lament, observed and framed by Gandhārī

बले वीर्ये च सदृशस्तेजसा चैव तेडनघ । रूपेण च तथात्यर्थ शेते भुवि निपातित:,“अनघ! जो बल, वीर्य, तेज और रूपमें सर्वधा आपके समान थे, वे ही सुभद्राकुमार शत्रुओंद्वारा मारे जाकर पृथ्वीपर सो रहे हैं!

Vaiśampāyana uvāca |

Bale vīrye ca sadṛśas tejasā caiva te 'n-agha |

rūpeṇa ca tathātyartha śete bhuvi nipātitaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai yang tidak bercela, mereka yang setara dengan tuan pada kekuatan dan keberanian, setara pula pada sinar wibawa, bahkan sangat menonjol pada keelokan—mereka itulah, termasuk putera Subhadrā, telah dibunuh musuh dan kini terbaring di bumi.”
