एतस्मिन्नेव काले तु कृतवीर्यात्मजो बली । अर्जुनो नाम तेजस्वी क्षत्रियो हैहयाधिप:,इसी समय राजा कृतवीर्यका बलवान पुत्र अर्जुन हैहयवंशका राजा हुआ, जो एक तेजस्वी क्षत्रिय था
etasminn eva kāle tu kṛtavīryātmajo balī | arjuno nāma tejasvī kṣatriyo haihayādhipaḥ ||
Pada waktu itulah juga muncul Arjuna—putera gagah Raja Kṛtavīrya—seorang kṣatriya yang gemilang, lalu menjadi pemerintah bagi keturunan Haihaya. Kemunculan penguasa yang kuat ini menegakkan latar etika kisah, memperlihatkan bagaimana kekuatan diraja dan kewibawaan berasaskan keturunan dapat membentuk perjalanan dharma di dunia.
वासुदेव उवाच
