Rāma–Jāmadagnya-janma-kāraṇa and Kṣatra-kṣaya

Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages

स तेनाकुण्ठधारेण ज्वलितानलवर्चसा । कुठारेणाप्रमेयेण लोकेष्वप्रतिमो5भवत्‌

sa tenākuṇṭhadhāreṇa jvalitānalavarcāsā | kuṭhāreṇāprameyeṇa lokeṣv apratimo 'bhavat ||

Dengan kapak itu—mata yang tidak pernah tumpul—menyala dengan sinar seperti api yang berkobar, baginda menjadi tiada bandingan di seluruh alam. Dengan kapak yang perkasa, berdaya tak terukur itu, Paraśurāma mencapai kemasyhuran kepahlawanan yang tiada tandingan di mana-mana.
