धर्मद्वारबहुत्वविमर्शः — Reflection on the Many ‘Doors’ of Dharma (Śānti-parva 342)

न हि विष्णु: प्रणमति कस्मैचिद्‌ विबुधाय च

na hi viṣṇuḥ praṇamati kasmaicit vibudhāya ca

Arjuna berkata: “Sesungguhnya Viṣṇu tidak menunduk kepada sesiapa—bahkan kepada mana-mana makhluk samawi sekalipun.” Dalam konteksnya, baris ini menegaskan kedudukan Viṣṇu yang tertinggi dan merdeka, mengisyaratkan bahawa penghormatan mutlak wajar ditujukan kepada prinsip tertinggi, bukan kepada kuasa yang lebih rendah.
