इत्येष वृत्रमाश्रित्य ज्वरस्य महतो मया । विस्तर: कथित: पुत्र किमन्यत् प्रब्रवीमि ते
ity eṣa vṛtram āśritya jvarasya mahato mayā | vistaraḥ kathitaḥ putra kim anyat prabravīmi te ||
Bhishma berkata: “Wahai anakku, dengan menjadikan peristiwa Vṛtra sebagai kesempatan, telah aku kisahkan kepadamu dengan terperinci asal-usul dan perjalanan demam besar yang berkaitan dengan Maheśvara. Kini, apa lagi yang harus aku katakan kepadamu?”
