Kapila and Syūmaraśmi on Renunciation, Householder Support, and Epistemic Authority
नाहं परेषां कृत्यानि प्रशंसामि न गर्हये । आकाशस्येव विप्रेन्द्र पश्यँललोकस्य चित्रताम्
nāhaṁ pareṣāṁ kṛtyāni praśaṁsāmi na garhaye | ākāśasyeva viprendra paśyaṁl lokasya citratām ||
Tulādhāra berkata: “Aku tidak memuji dan tidak juga mencela perbuatan orang lain. Wahai brahmana yang terbaik, tidak terikat seperti langit, aku hanya memandang kepelbagaian tindakan dunia yang beraneka dan menakjubkan.”

The core teaching is ethical equanimity: one should refrain from impulsive praise or blame of others’ actions and instead cultivate detached, impartial observation—‘like the sky’—recognizing the world’s complex diversity.
