भावो यो<यमनुप्राप्तो भवितव्यमिदं मम । इति यस्य सदा भावो न स मुहोत्‌ कदाचन,मुझे जो यह अवस्था प्राप्त हुई है, ऐसी ही होनहार थी। जिसके हृदयमें सदा इस तरहकी भावना होती है, वह कभी मोहमें नहीं पड़ता है

bhāvo yo ’yam anuprāpto bhavitavyam idaṃ mama | iti yasya sadā bhāvo na sa muhyet kadācana ||

Bhishma berkata: “Keadaan yang menimpaku ini memang harus terjadi—demikianlah bahagianku yang ditakdirkan. Sesiapa yang sentiasa teguh dalam pemahaman ini tidak akan jatuh ke dalam kekeliruan.”
