diṣṭyā nāhaṃ parāvṛtto vairāt prākṛtavajjitaḥ
Sañjaya berkata: “Syukurlah, aku tidak berpaling kerana dendam, dan aku juga tidak bertindak dengan cara hina seperti orang kebanyakan.”
संजय उवाच
Even amid hostility, one should not be driven by vaira (enmity) into rash retreat or ignoble behavior; ethical steadiness and self-mastery are praised as a form of victory.
