मया दृष्ट: समुद्रे च आश्रमे च कथं त्वयम्‌ । राजेन्द्र! जैगीषव्यकी तपस्याका वह योगजनित प्रभाव देखकर ये मुनिश्रेष्ठ देवल फिर सोचने लगे--“मैंने इन्हें अभी-अभी समुद्रतटपर देखा है

mayā dṛṣṭaḥ samudre ca āśrame ca kathaṃ tvayam | rājendra jaigīṣavyakī tapasā kā va yogajanitaḥ prabhāvaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Aku melihat engkau di pesisir laut, namun engkau berada di sini di āśrama—bagaimanakah hal itu mungkin, wahai raja agung? Kuasa luar biasa apakah, yang lahir daripada tapas dan yoga Jaigīṣavya, telah menjadikannya demikian?” Melihat keajaiban yogik itu, Resi Devala yang utama berfikir dengan hairan: “Baru sahaja aku melihatnya di tepi samudera—bagaimana pula dia hadir di āśrama?”
