कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
स्कन्दो यथा च दैत्यानामकरोत् कदनं महत् | तथा मे सर्वमाचक्ष्व परं कौतूहलं हि मे,स्कन्दने जिस प्रकार दैत्योंका महान् संहार किया हो, वह सब उसी तरह मुझे बताइये; क्योंकि मेरे मनमें इसे सुननेके लिये बड़ा कौतूहल हो रहा है
Janamejaya uvāca | Skando yathā ca daityānām akarot kadanaṁ mahat | tathā me sarvam ācakṣva paraṁ kautūhalaṁ hi me ||
Janamejaya berkata: “Sebagaimana Skanda telah melakukan pembantaian besar terhadap kaum Daitya, demikianlah ceritakanlah kepadaku semuanya dengan terperinci. Kerana hatiku dipenuhi rasa ingin tahu yang amat besar untuk mendengarnya.”
