Baka Dālbhya at Avakīrṇa-tīrtha: Rāṣṭra-kṣaya and Release through Prasāda (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 40)
The verse underscores that sanctity and right conduct culminate in siddhi: a revered sage, after delivering his message, departs to heaven, implying that truthful speech, tapas, and the power of a tīrtha together lead to spiritual fulfillment.
After speaking (in the preceding context), the radiant sage leaves for the heavenly realm. The narrator notes that the venerable Ṛṣi Ārṣiṣeṇa has thereby attained accomplishment at that sacred place.
