Unrestrained Battle Description and Śakuni’s Rear Assault

The verse highlights the disciplined, targeted nature of kṣatriya warfare: even in violent conflict, a warrior’s actions are portrayed as deliberate—aimed at principal opponents and executed with controlled skill rather than random cruelty.
In the ongoing battle, a warrior (implied by context) shoots multiple arrows at several prominent Pāṇḍava-side fighters—Nakula, Dhṛṣṭadyumna, the Draupadeyas, and Sātyaki—wounding them in quick succession as Sañjaya reports the action.
