कृपोपदेशः — द्रौणेरनिद्रा च

Kṛpa’s Counsel and Drauṇi’s Sleepless Resolve

“इस समय जो क्रोध उत्पन्न हुआ है, इसे मैं स्वयं भी रोक नहीं सकता। इस संसारमें किसी भी ऐसे पुरुषको नहीं देख रहा हूँ, जो मुझे क्रोधसे दूर हटा दे ।। तथैव निश्चिता बुद्धिरेषा साधु मता मम । वार्तिकै: कथ्यमानस्तु मित्राणां मे पराभव:

idānīṁ yo 'yaṁ krodhaḥ samutpannaḥ, tam ahaṁ svayam api na śaknomi nivārayitum | asmin loke nāhaṁ kañcid api tādṛśaṁ puruṣaṁ paśyāmi yo māṁ krodhāt nivartayet || tathaiva niścitā buddhir eṣā sādhumatā mama | vārtikaiḥ kathyamānas tu mitrāṇāṁ me parābhavaḥ ||

Kṛpa berkata: “Amarah yang timbul dalam diriku pada saat ini—aku tidak mampu menahannya walau dengan usaha sendiri. Di dunia ini aku tidak melihat seorang pun yang dapat memalingkanku daripada murka. Dan tekadku tetap teguh; pada pertimbanganku, itulah jalan yang benar. Namun apabila aku mendengar khabar dan bicara orang, aku kembali teringat akan kekalahan dan kehinaan sahabat-sahabatku.”
