वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores how displays of power and magnificence can create fear and reverence; ethically, it invites reflection on whether such grandeur supports righteous governance (dharma) or becomes a tool for intimidation.
The narrator describes the extraordinary court/assembly-hall: a conch whose blast makes beings tremble, and an opulent sabhā adorned with trees made of pure gold, emphasizing the hall’s wondrous, overwhelming atmosphere.
