तौ तु स्थितौ महाराज समरे युद्धशालिनौ । अन्योन्यं प्रतिसंरब्धावन्योन्यवधकाड्क्षिणौ,महाराज! युद्धमें शोभा पानेवाले वे दोनों वीर परस्पर कुपित हो एक-दूसरेके वधकी इच्छासे संग्रामके लिये खड़े हुए थे
tau tu sthitau mahārāja samare yuddhaśālinau | anyonyaṃ pratisaṃrabdhāv anyonyavadhakāṅkṣiṇau ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, kedua-dua wira itu—gemilang dalam pertempuran—berdiri berhadapan di medan laga, saling menyala amarah dan saling menginginkan kematian lawannya.”
