Shloka 82

Educational Q&A

This closing colophon underscores how the epic frames war as a moral narrative: personal deeds and past adharma mature into consequences on the battlefield, and the text signals the gravity of such confrontations by formally concluding the chapter devoted to them.

The verse is a chapter-ending colophon stating that the eighty-second chapter of the Karna Parva—focused on the combat between Duhshasana and Bhimasena—has been completed, with Sanjaya as the speaker.
