स तत् कृत्वा राजपुत्रस्तरस्वी विव्याध भीम॑ नवशभि: पृषत्कै: । ततो5भिनद् बहुभि: क्षिप्रमेव वरेषुभिर्भीमसेनं महात्मा,ऐसा करके उस वेगशाली राजपुत्रने भीमसेनपर नौ बाणोंका प्रहार किया। इसके बाद महामना दुःशासनने बड़ी फुर्तीके साथ बहुत-से उत्तम बाणोंद्वारा भीमसेनको अच्छी तरह बींध डाला
sa tat kṛtvā rājaputras tarasvī vivyādha bhīmaṁ navaśabhiḥ pṛṣatkaiḥ | tato 'bhinad bahubhiḥ kṣipram eva vareṣubhir bhīmasenaṁ mahātmā ||
Sañjaya berkata: Setelah berbuat demikian, putera raja yang pantas itu menikam Bhīma dengan sembilan anak panah. Kemudian Duhśāsana yang berjiwa besar dengan pantas menusuk Bhīmasena berulang-ulang dengan banyak panah pilihan.
