तस्थौ सुविह्वल: संख्ये प्रहारजनितश्रम: । अथ द्रोणस्य समरे तत्कालसदृशं तदा
tasthau suvihvalaḥ saṅkhye prahārajanitaśramaḥ | atha droṇasya samare tatkālasadṛśaṃ tadā
Sañjaya berkata: Di tengah-tengah pertempuran dia berdiri terhuyung-hayang, amat terguncang, keletihan oleh penat yang lahir daripada hentaman demi hentaman. Lalu, dalam pertempuran itu, berlaku suatu peristiwa yang seakan-akan ketibaan Maut pada saat tersebut—satu titik perubahan yang suram dalam perjuangan.
