astra hi rāmāt karṇena bhārgavadṛṣisattamāt | yadupāttaṃ mahāghoraṃ tasya rūpamudīryate ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Senjata yang amat menggerunkan, yang telah diperoleh Karṇa daripada Rāma—Paraśurāma, resi terunggul dari keturunan Bhṛgu—kini menampakkan wujudnya yang sebenar.”

Sañjaya reports that the dreadful astra Karṇa once received from Paraśurāma is now coming into effect on the battlefield—its ‘form’ is manifesting, meaning the weapon’s potency is being unleashed or becoming evident in the course of the combat.
