एवं प्रवृत्ते संग्रामे गजवाजिनरक्षये

Sañjaya berkata: Tatkala pertempuran terus mengganas demikian, ia menjadi pemandangan kebinasaan—gajah dan kuda ditebas jatuh, manusia pun binasa, apabila arus perang berubah menjadi pembunuhan tanpa memilih mangsa.
