Droṇa’s Fall: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Inquiry
इन्द्रायुधसवर्णस्तु कुन्तिभोजो हयोत्तमै: । आयात् सदश्वै: पुरुजिन्मातुल: सव्यसाचिन:,अर्जुनके मामा पुरुजित् कुन्तिभोज इन्द्रधनुषके समान रंगवाले उत्तम श्रेणीके सुन्दर अश्वोंद्वारा उस युद्धभूमिमें आये
indrāyudhasavarṇas tu kuntibhojo hayottamaiḥ | āyāt sadaśvaiḥ purujin mātulaḥ savyasācinaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Purujit dari Kuntibhoja—bapa saudara sebelah ibu Arjuna—tiba di medan perang dengan kuda-kuda unggul yang warnanya menyerupai pelangi Indra.
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores dharma as lived obligation: allies and relatives uphold their pledged responsibilities in a just cause, showing that support in war is not merely personal loyalty but a commitment to duty and rightful order.
Sañjaya reports that Purujit of the Kuntibhojas—Arjuna’s maternal uncle—arrives at the battlefield with superb horses whose color is compared to the rainbow, marking the mustering of forces and the strengthening of the Pāṇḍava side.
