Sañjaya berkata: “Kemudian, setelah berehat—namun tetap berjaga—apabila bulan terbit semula, kamu sekalian, kaum Kuru dan Pāṇḍava, akan menyambung pertempuran sesama sendiri seperti dahulu.”

The verse highlights the relentless momentum of war: even when a pause occurs, it is framed as strategic respite, not moral reconsideration. It implicitly raises an ethical tension—how quickly violence becomes routine when framed as obligation and necessity.
Sañjaya reports that after a period of rest during the night, the warriors on both sides—Kurus and Pāṇḍavas—will, at moonrise, re-engage in battle against each other just as before.
