यदत्रानन्तरं कार्य प्राप्तकालं च पश्यसि । कर्णस्य वधसंयुक्तं तत् कुरुष्व धनंजय,“धनंजय! अब यहाँ कर्णके वधके सम्बन्धमें तुम्हें जो समयोचित कर्तव्य दिखायी देता हो, उसे करो”
sañjaya uvāca |
yad atrānantaraṃ kāryaṃ prāptakālaṃ ca paśyasi |
karṇasya vadhasaṃyuktaṃ tat kuruṣva dhanaṃjaya ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Dhananjaya (Arjuna), apa jua kewajipan segera yang engkau lihat sebagai tepat pada waktunya dan perlu di sini—terutama yang berkait dengan pembunuhan Karṇa—laksanakanlah sekarang.”
