मर्म भित्त्वा तु ते सर्वे संलग्ना: क्षितिमाविशन् | साथ ही, उन्होंने अच्छी तरह चलाये हुए दस पैने बाणोंसे दुर्योधनको भी घायल कर दिया। वे सारे बाण दुर्योधनके मर्मस्थानोंमें लगकर उन्हें विदीर्ण करते हुए पृथ्वीमें समा गये
marma bhittvā tu te sarve saṁlagnāḥ kṣitim āviśan |
Sañjaya berkata: Setelah menembusi titik-titik vitalnya, semua anak panah itu—terbenam kukuh—terus menembus lalu tenggelam ke dalam bumi. Adegan ini menonjolkan ketepatan perang yang kejam: kemahiran dan tenaga bukan sekadar untuk mengenai sasaran, tetapi untuk melumpuhkan dengan menyasar tempat paling rapuh pada tubuh, memperlihatkan bagaimana perang menukar kecekapan menjadi niat yang mematikan.
