अलंबलवधः (Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa
तं॑ तु सक्रोधमालोक्य सात्यकि: प्रत्ययुध्यत
taṁ tu sa-krodham ālokya sātyakiḥ pratyayudhyata
Sañjaya berkata: Melihat dia menyala oleh amarah, Sātyaki pun menyongsongnya dalam tempur balas—bukan berundur, tetapi berdiri teguh menentang di medan perang.

The verse highlights a battlefield ethic: when confronted by an opponent driven by anger, a warrior may respond with firm, disciplined resistance rather than panic or collapse—courage guided by duty, not by uncontrolled rage.
Sañjaya reports that Sātyaki, noticing his adversary in a wrathful state, immediately engages him in counter-combat, indicating an escalation and direct clash in the ongoing fighting of Droṇa Parva.
